Verification of Cultural Competency Training

We want to ensure our providers meet the unique and diverse needs of all members.
We are required to collect information on whether providers have completed Cultural Competency training and to display that in our provider directory and Find a Provider tool.
Which Providers are Affected?
All Sunflower network providers are required to complete Cultural Competency training, per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
We need to receive an electronic copy of the Cultural Competency Training certificate as verification that the training has been completed. If you have completed a Cultural Competency training, please use our web form to submit minimal provider information and attach the verification document (i.e. certificate of attendance, completion etc.).
Be prepared to submit the following information:
- Practitioner or facility name
- Practitioner or faciltiy NPI
- Electronic copy of the verification document
- Contact information of the person submitting the request (name, organization, title, phone and email), should we need to follow up on the submission received.
