Providers No Longer Able to Use ASK through Change Healthcare to Submit Claims to Sunflower

A Message for all Providers using ASK (Administrative Services of Kansas) EDI.

Sunflower Health Plan no longer uses Change Healthcare as a clearinghouse for EDI claim submission. In June of 2022, Change Healthcare made Sunflower payer IDs 68069 and 68068 non par, and Administrative Services of Kansas (ASK) can no longer forward claims on our behalf.

It was recently discovered that ASK EDI was not notified of this change. After June 1, 2022, providers using ASK EDI front-end services for Sunflower claim submissions will not be able to submit claims for Sunflower payer IDs 68069 and 68068.

Solutions for submission include claims submissions through the Sunflower web portal (including batch submission) or using Availity for EDI claim submission. Sunflower Medicaid providers may also use the KMAP Front End Billing interface to submit claims to Sunflower. Sunflower is working toward additional alternatives for providers using ASK.
