Signed Executive Order Mandating Masks in Public Spaces

Who: Governor Laura Kelly
What: Kansas Executive Order No. 20-52 Requiring masks or other face coverings in public. Be aware that Kansas counties may have additional requirements in place.
Why: Responsibility to secure the health, safety, and economic well-being for the State of Kansas by mandating masks in public spaces in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
When: Effective July 3, 2020, at 12:01 am.
Where: Businesses or organizations in Kansas must require all employees, customers, visitors, members, or members of the public to wear a mask or other face covering; while in public spaces, and in places where individuals are unable to maintain social distancing of six feet.
