KMAP BULLETIN: KMAP Provider Training Opportunities

The Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) implemented the Kansas Modular Medicaid System (KMMS) on April 4, 2022, including the new KMAP Provider Secure Portal. Registered providers can use the KMAP Provider Secure Portal to perform many functions, including, but not limited to the following:

Verifying member eligibility
Searching and submitting claims
Searching and submitting prior authorization (PA) determinations

To help augment the training materials available to providers on the KMAP Public Portal, virtual training opportunities will be offered for providers in June 2022. The provider training sessions will be hosted by the KMAP training team and business operations subject matter experts.

The training sessions will include an overview of the provider section of the KMAP Public Portal, virtual demonstration of the KMAP Provider Secure Portal, and moderated Questions and Answer (Q&A) forum via Microsoft Teams. Providers can register for training sessions using the direct link associated with the session(s) listed below. Providers can enroll in multiple sessions.

Claims Submission: – In this session providers will receive training on basic site navigation of the Provider Secure Portal, searching for claims, submitting a claim, copying a claim, creating a template, searching for payment history, and printing a remittance advice (RA). Sessions will be broken out by claim type/provider group. Please register for the following session(s) that best fits your provider type/specialty:
